Castro de Baroña Interpretation Center

Castro de Baroña is one of the most spectacular sites in Galicia. In addition to its grandeur, it has an exceptional location on a small peninsula next to beautiful sandy beaches. To help its understanding, an interpretation center has been set up in the building of the old town hall of Porto do Son.

A series of models, explanatory panels, original artefacts and videos make it easier to understand the life of those people who lived in the Iron Age.

The center also offers a guide service that will show you other archaeological remains (dolmens, petroglyphs and other burial mounds) in the region.
